n 2006, Dennis and I went on a quest for the perfect bar of soap. Most of what we found was commercially-manufactured detergent bars, packaged for mass merchants across the country. After fruitless searching (and much itching and dry skin), I decided to make my own. So, in my basement lab, I begin experimenting with different processes, fragrances, and molds. In the fall of 2007, we began selling soap and a few other bath and kitchen items online.

Today, Smith’s Bath & Home is a full-service kitchen and bath retail and online store, located in the quaint Buford Village in Buford, GA, about 25 minutes north of Atlanta’s I-285. We are convenient to Lake Lanier, Gainesville, and the Mall of GA, at the corner of Hamilton Mill Rd. and Buford Hwy. (across from the new Buford City Hall).
